It really is, and Niger has a total population of approximately 15,73 million people. Can you even try and imagine how many babies that would be born within the time period of 2005-2010 if the average babies per woman (fertility rate) was 7.19?! It is really crazy, and keep in mind; Niger is just one of many countries in the world with a high fertility rate. There are a lot of other countries with fertility rates between 4 and 7,. that's really something worth thinking about..

and yes! we should take much better care of our precious earth! we only have one!
not just with fewer children but the environment as well!
we have a very bad "use n throw away"-mentality nowadays that should be dealt with also! this is bad!!

I agree, and another thing is that the world is overpopulated. I'm not encouraging anyone to kill people, but make less babies so the total population count would decrease over time (like China, only 1 child per woman). This way the planet's resources would be preserved in a much better way, we would see less poverty, less famines etc. because the resources we have would have been enough for the amount of people living here. Niger for instance has an average of 7.19 babies per woman (2005-2010)!
