Part 1 of 3...American Pickers wet dream...Lee Hartung Barn Find Collection. Lee recently passed away, this will likely be the last video of his collection before it is sold off in auctions. Lee has been collecting (hoarding) cool memorabilia, vintage signs, cars and bicycles for over 60 years... Some impressive stuff.

  • Not to say that he didn't have problems but this man was no hoarder. A pathological hoarder usually gathers items of little or no worth and does not display them. This is a somewhat rather inconsistent collection. He saved a lot of stuff from the scrapper for future generations to enjoy.

  • @jackalopehollow it was very odd to be there, it seems like organized trash but at second look, there are some amazing finds... what amazed me the most was how he was able to literally use every square inch of 40,000 sq/ft of space. I can't imagine going thru it.

  • To bad they auctioned it off, this could have been turned into a nice museum. You will never get a collection like this all back together.

  • This video is a favorite on Tuvalu

  • I am sure this man loved and enjoyed everything he collected.

What a hobby! What a collection!

  • 4:59 into the video is a 1959 Thunderbird junior promotional car on top of the other car.

  • Maybe a stupid thing to say but it's kind of a shame it has to be disturbed.........

  • THIS IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING I HAVE EVER SEEN!

  • Rest in peace, Lee.

  • Wow, this gives new meaning to the phrase "you can't take it with you". The idea that one man alone was able to methodically collect so much is mind boggling. This is the kind of thing that happens once in a generation or two, as rare as a man like Steve Jobs.

I'd go to the auction even if I couldn't afford a single thing, just to see all the celebrities who will be there, if nothing else.

They'd need several days to sell it all. One day for cars, another for bikes, another for toys
