Love that "Jenny on the Railroad"! I remember the first time I heard the New Lost City Ramblers` version. I think Tracy Swartz and Mike Seeger were playing twin fiddles and I experienced serious controlled substance enhanced befuddlement trying to figure out what in the world they were doing.
Hearing, and seeing, it played on the banjo goes a long way toward clearing up the residual mystery. Thanks for posting.

Glad this post could help. Did NLCR ever record Jenny On The Railroad? I have a number of their things on vinyl and cd, including two Newport Folk Fest compilations. I don't remember seeing it listed on any album.
