  • Those are some great photos. I'd like to try fishing in West Va. sometime. NY state here. Your brookies are definately a lot different looking than ours. Stop by and watch a fishing slideshow, or a fishing video that I've made. It's cool to see how different looking our brook trout are.

  • Yeah, the geology, elevation and makeup of our streams are not only different, but each region's fish has some pretty unique phenotypes (expressed traits) too. The WV brookies tend to look more like southern Appalachian brook trout than northern brook trout.

  • I cant get over your video! Ive watched it like 50 times and im still not tired of it. Excellent video!

  • Thanks. This is one of the first videos I ever made. I'm surprised that it gets so many more comments than others I've done.

  • nice . my first trout i ever cought was a brook trout. man they are nice fish!

  • Those look kinda like Browns with the red speckles.

  • Nice! Brook trout are the best! Nice brooks in your area too!

  • Great pictures, I caught one yesterday in Pennsylvania, it looked perfect, it fell right off the hook after I reeled it in, I was able to hold it in my hand and observe it for a few seconds before it fell back into the creek and swam away.

  • these are my favorite fish by far. these little guys have a fight like no other. i've had 4" brookies fight harder than a 12" stocked 'bow. nice video. thanks!

  • remember everyone, practice catch and kill, conservation first.
