Think deeply about funeral picketing. Is the Patriot Guard really "lawless" like Westboro Baptist Church says?

I disagree with picketing anyone's funeral. Anyone, even Saddam Hussein, etc. Those deaths are solemn victories.

@jlhanks81, interesting perspective. I suppose one could say any death is a tragedy, so even if a person like Sadaam dies, then it is still a tragedy because it was a wasted life.

Of course people won't say people who bring signs to a soldier's funeral that says Soldier In Heaven are disrupting anyone's funeral David. That's because those signs are saluting a soldier. What Westboro does is despicable. They protest a soldier's funeral with their disgusting signs causing more pain & suffering to the soldier's family when they should be left alone to grieve & westboro enjoys what they do.

I dont think its decent but theyre within their rights. If they were assaulted then I'm sure the judge and jury would be sympathetic the picketers are trying to start controversy make disruption and overall being nuisances. You have the RIGHT to say what you like but be prepared to face adversity for unpopular ideas.

Point 1: I think that picketing anyone's funeral, whether s/he was good or evil, or somewhere in between, is a douchebag move on anyone's part (and no, I don't think people should picket Fred's funeral when he dies). You can be happy, if they truly did evil, but picketing their funeral is just a low blow.

At the end of the day your argument or questions and/or opinions suffer from a classic flaw. They are YOUR opinions. Others may share them but that doesn't make them anymore right or wrong than other peoples opinions.

Right or wrong, good or bad and many other comparisons are a matter best suited for each individual. They may feel right while you feel they are wrong. Just as some people condone things others do not.

Objective reality is for the narrow minded. Live life for you forget the rest
