Introducing the 501 hp Hennessey Performance VelociRaptor 500. Ride along with John Hennessey as he unveils the new supercharged SVT Raptor with a blast down the quarter mile.

Dubbed the VelociRaptor 500, HPE takes the new 2010 Raptor to 501 HP and 520 lb-ft of torque with its supercharged upgrade, full stainless steel exhaust and custom tuning.

Performance results are phenomenal, with 0-60 mph taking just 5.6 seconds (vs. 8.8 second stock) and a quarter mile run in 14.09 seconds @ 97 mph (over 2 seconds quicker than stock).

  • it makes 500 at the motor and 247 horse power at the wheels???

  • The stock Raptor 5.4 makes 247 rear wheel hp. The VelociRaptor 500 makes 387 rear wheel hp.

  • The stock Raptor makes 247 rear wheel hp on a Dynojet chassis dyno and thus has a 23% driveline loss from the flywheel to the rear wheels.

  • i wonder how much for one of em raptor trucks.....anybody?

  • @prept77 $58k.

  • @ding0925 probably only a 15 second truck in 2 wheel. That motor makes enough torque to compensate for the 4x4 I'd bet

  • gotta be the cleanest truck out there right now

Isn't Toyota trying to put out a tacoma based truck to compete?

  • Locked diff = good for launch

  • Do you by the kit or is it all one truck?

  • keeps it strong..and to last forever..and to keep on the ground at high speed

  • The Lightning returns!... sorta

  • Considering this tuck was not built for top end and i has trail tires, those are impressive numbers. 0-60 in 5.6!

I didn't think you could launch a truck in 4wd because there is no center diff. to balance axle rotation speeds. Anyone know?

  • blahh soo i love chevy but thats just badass

  • Nice truck way to do it with a ford too. Beat that chevy :D
