@FutureNewsAnchor No, Donahue was on KTRK from the mid 80s until the show went off the air. I think this was at the time when they moved Donahue to the 4 PM slot and had Jerry Springer take the 10 AM one that Donahue held for years.

@FutureNewsAnchor So, what you mean is the Phil Donahue Show (the show which is the MAIN reason why everybody's had their own rinky-dink talk show, and made none or TONS of sucess off of their crap over the past 28 years), THAT SHOW came before the news?! I mean, it's still sad that they had to get rid of it because of what he said about the Cold War, but still, that show was iconic for daytime TV!
