Tonight was great!
For 'back to mat' we used a mat as the destination. Start close with only 1-2 steps back for your dog, then increase the distance as you see them backing with ease.

NOTE- always toss the treat to your dog or behind your dog!

Reverse & Scoot we used an x-pen. It helps to 'wrap' your dog around you as they are backing. Reverse is your dog starting on your right side and Scoot is starting with your dog on your left side.

Short successful sessions!

  • Loved this! Especially watching all your dogs backing, lining up for their turn to play with you, and also seeing the other dogs learning. Big help! Thanks! I keep saying the same thing for all your videos in this segmet that I just discovered!!!

  • @azmauigirl Thanks... this was a fun series to make, all of my clients were so dedicated and really working towards good skills for freestyle routines...

  • I love your work

  • Hi Pere, Thanks!

  • Great job Nancy, it is very nice to see how much fun they are having...I agree with Claudia, it is funny how they bring their rewards asking you...please please my turn....

  • thanks!

we start with their 'favored' toy or food reward from the time they come to our house, and we use the 'work with me in order to access your toy' style of training. I think that is why they might be so willing to bring it and wait, because nothing happens with it until they get to work...

  • your demos are great but I wish I could hear the terms you were using for cues. I can't think of enough words to go with each movement my dog does.

  • Very nice! I love how the dogs wait patiently for their turn! Awesome pack that you have! :-)

  • this is great nancy - gave me some good ideas and most important gave me an motivational boost for me and Jackson:o)

  • Wonderful! All eager to work, bringing their toys, none of them fighting over toys, and doing the job really well. Excellent!

  • Hey Claudia,

Yes they do love 'their turn'!

    ps- it is still snowing!
