I got a chance to play a taraf de haidouks tune on stage and it was fun. The great accordeonist is Buzor Nenic. The first tune I learned by a lautar in romania.

  • very nice!

  • Very nice Romanian Hora, I put a video with a "Tiganeasca" from Transylvania which is mean, Gypsy music (or dance) in Romanian. Best wishes. NADARA Gypsy Band

  • As you were so kind to post this wonderful interpretation, maybe you will be so kind also to change the title from "Tiganeasca" into "Hora lui Buica"

  • This roumanian folk song is a "hora dance" called "Hora lui Buica"

  • Gypsies were music players all over the Europe since ever, that doesn't make them the authors of all the European music. I have a lot of gypsy friends since the early 80s. What they play at home is music like TERNIPE, ANDO DROM. Just youtube on these, to find out the wonderful gypsy folk. I like very much both the authentic gypsy and roumanian folk -both played by gypsy bands- but NOT AT ALL the new ones performed with programmed electronic instruments which can be annoying upto the extremes.

  • For instance:

case 1, person name "Hora lui Hanganu", "Hora lui Emil", "Hora lui Pusac"

case 2: village / town / region: "Hora de la Bara", "Hora de la Slobazia", "Hora din Vaslui"

case 3: "hora W" where W is the actual name of the "hora":

"Hora Licurici", "Hora Staccatto", "Hora Martisor", ""

Exceptions for the rules above - just the distinctive name without the prefix:

"De trei ori in jurul mesei", "Barladeanca", "De la Cluj la Chisinau"

  • These are roumanian "hora"s. If you search only "hora" however you'll find anything about "an hour" in spanish language. To find the actual roumanian dances / songs, one should look up for "hora lui X" - where X is a person's name, or "hora de la Y" / "hora din Z" - where Y / Z are names of villages / towns from Roumania. There are twice as many variations of "hora" songs in Romania as the total amount of "hora" variations in all the rest of the countries - it's for us like Polka for the Polish.

  • This is romanian Folk:)..Thanks for understanding :)

  • Great performance of this splendid Romanian song!
