You could let the nail polish dry then use a strengthener or a base coat, top coat, maybe even a clear nail polish to apply the gems. :)

rimmel london lasting pro has the best black nail polish. so pigminted and stays on for about 3 to 4 days. not bad for 4 dollars. finally found a good black for cheap haha

You did a lovely job... The process seemed simple and the result beautiful. You are right, the Chanel black is very pretty. Don't worry about potential critics.. there is nothing to criticize here. You have a very pleasant manner and once you get your camera at a comfortable angle, you should think about making more instructional videos. I watched the whole thing because you didn't use music and your way of talking through the steps was very sweet! Well done :)
why would you pay tons of money for mac glitter when you can get the exact same thing at a craft store for like 2 dollars?!?!

One tip:
Take more nail polish on your brush because it's really streaky. When your take more product on your brush it goes smoother
