This is my Master's thesis for my grad school project, which is about the human papillomavirus. HPV is a sexually transmitted disease which is allegedly the most common among sexually-active adults. This third part is about protection against the virus, including but not limited to the vaccines recently approved by the FDA, the controversies surrounding them, and why condoms don't necessarily protect you against the virus.

For Part III of this series, I borrowed footage from the movie "Saved", and other sources for whom I have given full credit where it is due.

Special thanks to Lisa Spinelli of the Boston Phoenix, Kate Adelstein of the Dimock Health Center, Marcus Schwarz of the Boston HPV and Herpes Support Group, and Dr. Adina Nack of California Lutheran University for willing to be interviewed for this story. Also special thanks to the folks at Boston University: Jake Kassen, Shane Kocher, Tim Lynch, Sasha Norkin and others for the equipment to shoot this story and for help with Final Cut Pro. Without their help, this story would not have been possible.
