Thank you for the advice, but it's been over 5 months, and I have tried for the first 3, but I finally got it wasn;t going to happen; so now I'm with another guy who's been my friend for a long time and understands me, and has helped me through everything.

After the first week, my Ex gave up and said he'd find someone better- and we were dating for 2 years and were engaged (!!); but hey, he chose his path which made mine. I'm happy with my bf now, and I wouldn;t change anything.
