This is a mini album I made for my sister. I used the "Madeline" paper line from K&Company.

  • Hello, do you have any idea where I could get the paper that you have used in your album, which I think it is just beautiful by the way, I live in the UK, and have tried to find it, but no luck so far, I don't know why but we just don't get the wonderful choice for crafts that you have in the States!! I would be very grateful if you could point me in the right direction,

Thank you so much for sharing your lovley work,

    Mary, UK,

  • @kerimyth Hi Mary, I'm afraid the Madeline paper will be hard to come by, as it has been discontinued from K&Company. I did a quick internet search and found an 8.5x8.5 size paper pad that is available on Amazon. I hope that helps! Marla :-)

  • Love this album! One of the best I've seen! I've been checking a lot of people's videos out for ideas of things to purchase because I'm just starting out. So I was wondering what you use between pages to keep them firm and not bendable. The few things I have tried were either too thick, or too thin. I'm sure there's some scrapbooking secret that I don't know about!

  • @KaruptKara Thank you so much!! What I use as a base for my pages is chipboard. It's a little hard to find locally (for me anyways) so I buy mine online. Walmart(dot)com has very reasonably priced chipboard, you can buy it in a pack of 25 - 12x12 sheets. If you don't want to purchase something like the chipboard, you can use the cardboard from cereal boxes or capri sun boxes, etc. as a base for your pages. Hope that answers your questions!

    Marla :-)

  • I just found you and subscribed to you immediately, LOL!!! This album is incredibly beautiful, and I bet your sister just loved it!! I'm just getting back into scrapping after a 4 years, and so much has changed! I was wondering what adhesive you use to keep the ribbon on so well yet without showing the messy part of it or sticking where it shouldn't through the lace? Also, towards the end where you said, "it's functional," how do you keep it down when lifting part of it? Thanks for sharing!

  • @Luvkitty33 Hi there! Thank you for your comment! To answer your questions - I find that for gluing down ribbon, "Terrifically Tacky Tape" by Provo Craft is amazing! I buy it in the quarter inch size and it's perfect for ribbon and lace, non visible and very strong. Also, for making "functional" pockets where you are only glueing down half of the piece, I use Scotch Quick-Dry Adhesive or the Terrifically Tacky Tape for that as well. Michaels carries both of these adhesives. Hope this helped!
