Matrox Parhelia = G800 thay just gave it a fancy name.
If Matrox made a dual GPU Pahrelia they would have taken the market completely with 16x FSAA and 16 Aniso the dual card would have done it easily.
Very sad Matrox didn't do that. Almost ruined them..
It's seems even thought they have geniuses in the company they are not street smart on the creation department on making the public happy.
People want a great gaming card with a great game included Matrox failed

I had a MatroxG400 I took it out installed a Nvidia Gforce 2 and games flew but didn't look as good so I put the G400Max back in and it used the Nvidia drivers and flew and looked oustanding. So I understood one thing after that ! Drivers make a huge difference!
Little Vooodoo2's ran everything with 4 megs on board beat that!

Nvidia killed two great 3D companies. Matrox and 3dfx. I know Matrox lives, but they don´t make 3D cards anymore. I just hope ATI never dies.

@Ehal256 Ya unfortutnatley in 2002 they didn't have killer CPU's and ram like in 2010 which would have made the Pharhelia fly...in 16 x PCI express

it looks good like it would almost not run on my geforce 9200, but thats a laptop graphics card anyway!

@Suprnovo3 You are right! Nvidia Killing 3dfx is a manner of speaking. Nvidia turned to be just more competent than both matrox or 3dfx. I have a G400 MAX, and is quality was just outstanding compared to the voodoo 3 that lacked 32 bit color and texturing and more important low res 256x256 textures. The G400 had 2048 x 2048 textures just like the Riva TNT 2 Ultra, enabling much more detail on games like Colin Mcrae 2.0 and Quake 3. Right now, i own 2 GTX 470s in SLI. What a great setup! :)
