this is by far the best known piano novelty of harry sosnik, who was a friend of zez confrey. gayety, composed in 1935, was one of the best selling piano novelties in the robbins catalog and it was even given a two-piano arrangement by jacques fray (on youtube performed by richard dowling and frederick hodges).
harry sosnik (1906-1996) had a long career in the entertainment industry, composed numerous pop songs, led a famous popular orchestra, and composed a small number of novelty piano solos.

Wonderful! Maybe you or allendale1962 could help me track down a tune's name? I had a friend try to write down a little bit for me. for some reason, I can't post a link to it here in the comments. Grrr! Please mail me here on this site if you think you can help and I'll get the link to you that way. I think it was popular in the 1920's or 30's? Any help is appreciated!
