@rexorrama Nonsense !

What a great compliment from Adolph Hitler...he called her 'the most dangerous woman in Europe"..
-
@rexorrama yes because we all know how denmark (which was neutral during both world wars) started ww2 by invading poland. nothing to do with germany in the least bit
-
@rexorrama What history book have you been reading?
-
The Royal Family would have been fine if we lost the war. They are all German anyway. They actually sent one of Queen Victoria's grand children to become a high ranking German army officer and he fought with the Nazis Prince Charles Edwards. Google him and you can see him with Hitler, they were very close. The Royals wanted to make sure they had all the bases covered.

@rexorrama oh yess.... she said your country smells like old bacon

Wasn't the Queen Mother responsible for starting World War II?
Something she said to the King of Denmark??

@rexorrama The Queen Mother starting World War 2? What could she possibly say to the King of Denmark to start this? "How about "if only the Germans could cook pastries like these! You better send them some before they decide to sample some directly!". Or "Danish bacon should serve as a model for the entire wotld!" How about "Ya know, I have heard so much about Tivoli amusement part! You better make sure Herr Hitler does not find out about this and decides to lower his bloomers!"

Her husband was a hansome man, but she was ugly. (I'm speaking only about her physical appearance, not for her character which I admire a lot)

@msinvincible2000 I think she was very pretty actually! Before the war, in fact, she was very attractive but when she hit her 40's she became more matronly -- but this may have been a deliberate move to show herself in a nature that the average British family could identify with during the war years.
Her radiance, her smile (I remember seeing her closeup at her 100th Birthday celebration) and her warmth in my opinion made her beautiful.
