To commemorate 4 1/2 seasons of Gossip Girl, and more importantly, Dair, I have compiled to be what I THINK are the best 30 Dair moments thus far. I define a "moment" as being either a scene that best defines their relationship or a significant turning point in their relationship, and a "moment" can entail 2-3 different scenes that are all tied together in some way.

20. "The Age of Dissonance" 2.18

I HAD to include this scene in the top 20. Their banter is golden!

19. "The Townie" 4.11

They already act like an old married couple lol. I also liked how Blair points out all the things Dan is willing to do for Serena, and she is the only one who points out that he should give it a rest already.

18. "While You Weren't Sleeping" 4.16

If it was this hard for Blair to admit to needing Dan, imagine how hard it will be for her to say "I love you."

17. "Damien Darko" 4.13

How can such a casual scene be so rich and fun to watch? Dan and Blair don't need a scandal or "epic" story arc to make them interesting. Just give them some coffee and something to debate about and you have good tv.

16. "Pret-A-Poor J" 2.08

Again some really epic foreshadowing on Dan's part.

15. "Damien Darko" 4.13

The first time Blair admits to their "fake friendship." I think this scene also shows Dan a different side of Blair. She works hard to get what she wants and is really trying to be a better person.

14. "The Unblairable Lightness of Being" 3.18

DAN WANTS WHAT'S BEST FOR BLAIR. And the shot of Eleanor and Cyrus doing shots with Dan is priceless as well.

13. "Empire of the Son" 4.17

It is a bittersweet scene. They both really want to be friends, but neither wants to admit it.

12. "The Kids Are Not Alright" 4.12

The entire scenario really sets up the Dair scene. Blair notices Dan and they both pick up on their unspoken problems. Each offers the other advice and Blair learns something. A very good Dair scene that touches on every thing that makes them great.

11. "Jewel of Denial" 5.03

It seems that Blair keeps turning to Dan and here she finally admits why. Maybe one day she will actually thank him.

the thing that makes it painfully obvious that these two should be a couple is that they know each other, the good and the bad, and while that is the same case for chair, i would add that unlike chair, they're fun, and have come so far as individuals since s1, giving each other a little nudge along the way i.e - the car scene about dans wiriting/dan telling blair about herself regularly, even if they don't have a sexual relationship, they will be friends for a long while. It's seth and summer.

I think There are parts of Blair that she doesn't show when she's with Chuck. she's almost always looking over her shoulder , wondering what his angle is and how she should react, cause she doesn't want to "lose' or seem "weak' so she's never her true self.

But With Dan there's none of those hesitations at all
