My family sang this song at my stepfather's funeral yesterday, it was a perfect song for the occasion. My stepfather loved Blue Highway dearly and always said it wanted it sung at his funeral. Whoever wrote this song is truly gifted and how tru it is!

Thanks for the title! I tried to figure them all out, but some fell by the wayside in my efforts to get them online....glad I rely on help from folks like you!
Yes, it was a shame Dailey & Vincent couldn't make it. They won't have the same excuse for Grey Fox!

If it's any consolation, friends of mine recently saw them at a festival in my area and said D & V stunk it up. They said the band was as stiff and cold as any band they've ever seen, like they had just been thrown together right before they went on stage. One of the friends is even a former singer and guitarist for Greg Cahill & The Special Consensus so he's seen LOTS of bands at festivals. If he said they were bad, it's a fact. Hopefully, they'll get their act together before you see them.

I've only heard D&V's latest CD, which is awesome. But I've heard Dailey before, when he was with Doyle Lawson, and he was wonderful in that group, so it's possible your friend saw the duo before they put on their current polish. I'll reserve judgment until I actually see them myself. But thanks for the comment. It's good to have the conversation and insight.

My friends (plural) said the same thing after seeing them at a festival just last month so any polish as a band one would expect to see should already be there. Maybe one or two of the guys were sick. I don't know but the friends are very accomplished musicians so they definitely know what they're talking about when it comes to performance. They said Michael Cleveland and his band blew D & V off the stage. For what it's worth...

I'm sure your friends know what they're talking about. I, for one, will just hope for the best. Sure do love their CD.
