Black Widow GP9 #3873 and Speeder at Campo

Here's a better look at the former Cotton Belt (St. Louis Southwestern Railway) GP9 at the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum. Note the Southern Pacific light packages on both front and rear. As it pulls into a siding at the Campo Depot, a speeder, which was on a lookout for fire hazards, follows.

@gaycowboy31 I must correct myself I did pull up shots of the old SSW (Cotton Belt)Gp9s and this unit would have been so great restored to the origional SSW Black Widow paint scheme not that there is a thing wrong with the SP paintscheme I like it too but I am from Texas down here in SSW territory

its great to see a black widow units running again but I think it would have been cool to releter it back to Cotton belt lettering but I cant remember ever seeing a SSW unit in black widow paint but i ould be wrong

I went to high school in Campo, CA. When the school was moved to Buckman Springs, the school gym was used as a train museum.
