No, a fellow lab tech and myself experimented with these systems once. Like everyone else we wondered what would happen if we touched the plasma stream. So we did.
Incredibly we were transported to an alternate dimension where an excellent adventure ensued. My colleague didn't make it back alive, but he did heroically sacrifice his own life to save mine.
I also got a great looking girlfriend out of it.
