@superpwn2000 you cant control trailer sway on a bad loaded trailer actually. doesn't matter how good a driver you are. you wont loose control but its not safe
-
you are absoloutly right about the ford transmissions. I met a man, who picked up my bike who towed a vey large trailer with his ford diesel (2008, full of motorcycles) It was well within the rated towing capacity but he told me he had replaced the transmission 3 times in less than 400k miles (he used the truck to ship motorcycles all around the USA)
I don't get it, Does ford make their own transmissions? I thought a lot of the diesel pickups used the cummins engines

or you could just learn to drive

id have to give it to ford they really pulled their head out of their ass....
-
@AgentHog I hear ya man, at least they didn't take bailout money I'll give em that.
-
@nathanial41 lol. I'm a ford guy myself, but all the trucks have their fair share of problems, no matter what brand.
-
@AgentHog true that i supposed. I've hauled my share of trailers and I guess i'm a biased Dodge fan :) I would try a ford but I havn't seen one whose tranny lasted long enough for a trip. 98% of all fords are still on the road... the other 2% made it home.
-
@nathanial41 Perhaps that is because 5th wheels don't tend to sway as much as bumper pulls do & when you weigh that much gravity helps allot.≥.

First of all ford is a American product. Second not everyone good at driving. Third some people don't like towing trailers but have to
-
So I guess Ford owners need to go to trailer towin school. If you need a bunch of special features just so you can pull a trailer then you probly shouldn't own a truck. I mean come on 18 wheelers don't even have "sway control" stupid ford shit. Oh wait I forgot they revolutionized the pickup truck remember. They have there "man step"
FORD FTW in 2010
