TZ31 - Location Scouting

Not everyone can pay up to city hall or be insured. Sometimes the best way is to wing it without [official] permission, and hope nobody cares. This may sound like inept advice, but the realm of independent filmmaking is without many luxuries...

I'm wondering if Kanye West had a permit when he was on "Punked." I think most people shoot gorilla style unless there are a lot of people involved.

@dreburch You're right, they most likely did not have a permit. But more importantly, I'm sure they had permission.

Just watched S. Darko and there is a scene where the guy who bought the meteroite took her to the top of a hill to watch fireworks. It looks very similar to location in your video.
