Schnauzer + bucket of frogs = wagging tail

My schnauzer totally mezmerised by a bucket containing 2 frogs that we were about to take from our pond to the local nature reserve. He loves frogs, but I never let him near them, which I think adds to the mystique.

I don't think his tail has ever wagged so much!

@duffeek2 That's what they're like if you don't dock them, which is, I believe, illegal to do in the UK now.

@pjchbott I have had a schnauzer with a docked tail, and this one with a full tail, and you can tell much more what mood they are in with a full tail - it moves so much more, even just a little twinge of excitement is amplified much more due to the length.

I don't think I'd get one with a docked tail now - not just for the reason above, but also because I believe it's cruel to chop off parts of your pet's body for purely cosmetic reasons.

@vokost I'unno, mine never had any trouble getting her point across. When she gets happy enough, she wags everything behind the collar.

I agree, though, docking the tail seems pretty pointless now that they don't go chasing things into burrows anymore.
