That little elbow shot won't open the guard. Plus the Sciatic Nerve runs down the back of the leg. And the position you are in basically puts you in a very basic sweep in bjj.

when in someones guard DO NOT put your hands on the ground. Your left foot should not be up. This is very easy to counter by hooking that leg, shrimp to knee in the belly and an sweep you to mount.
