Eugen Jochum conducts the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra (Sinfonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks), playing the 2nd symphony of Bruckner "Pausensinfonie - Symphony of Pauses".
in my opinion, any conductor should be in a sort of "trance" while directing any bruckner symphony, and so is it a coincidence that such a preeminent brucknerian as furtwangler in general often gave the appearance of falling into some kind of fit while on the podium...
very, very good. there's also the von karajan bpo, stein wpo, konwitschny, e.j. dresden staatskapelle, wand, etc.; one of the most beautiful symphonies, especially the adagio.
