Tutorial who teach the best way to "enlarge" your score (to add any space you want between notes, in less than 45 seconds.

Please don't forget that MPC have ONLY 96 x 4 = 384 bar! According to this fact, you have to know that the whole enlarged song cannot alway fit in one file, so you have to dispatch him into several file.
Don't forget to do a COPY of the file before any editing, above all if you're inexperienced with MPC file editing. Experience will allow you to perfectly understand the structure of the file and the way to correct a possible mistake. The next tutorial will teach you how to easily get your bearings into a MPC file and to do copy and past.

...And sorry for my bad English :p

  • I wish I had known about this before I started working on my song. It would have made doing some parts a lot easier. Is it possible to control the space between specific parts of the song instead of applying the same number of spaces to the whole thing?

Also, why does MPC still recognize your mouse clicks even when you minimize it? It's so annoying.

  • Yep, it's possible.

For insert spaces in a spécific part, you have to be able to identify the segment concerned.

You could use "marker notes" at the begining and at the end of this spécific part (see the tutorial part 2 who explain how to do that). When the segment is identified (in note pad for example) you just have to do replace : by ::: for the selected part.

  • On the other hand, you have to notice that the speed will be the same for the whole mario paint file so, you cannot swith to another tempo.

  • Hey I have this program on my computer. I've been using it for a while and I have a few songs. They load and play just find but there is no .txt file for them in the prefs folder. There is a file for the lame song and the my song but none of the ones I created... HElp?

  • Hello,

You have to know that mariopaintcomposer is an executable program and, in that capacity, did'nt register in the program file folder of your computer. In other word, you can have many mariopaint programm in different places of your computer and they can work independently. Each mariopaint with its own PREFS folder. Dis you use a shortcut for open your mario paint? In this case, you should verify that the pref folder that you try to open, is really in the same place that the program...

  • ... you are working with. Try to do a research on your hard drive with: mario paint composer.exe.

You can also make a research for finding your song. Here is the right syntax for the name of a song: If your song is called: "saxppwner song", the mario paint file will be:

    "saxppwner song]MarioPaint.txt".

So you can find your songs and, in the same way, the place who the corresponding program is located. I hope this can help you.
