  • Seriously, guys? Of course they're lip syncing. EVERYONE does for this parade. Lip syncing is a safety during live performances so that there aren't any glitches with someone's voice cracking during an extremely cold day. And if you had ever watched them on The Sing-Off you would be able to recognize that they are lip syncing TO THEIR OWN VOICES! This isn't some cheap Milli Vanilli stunt, these are talented people making sure they are heard at their best.

  • @kimmicub17 In Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade everyone lip syncs. The venue isn't good enough for people to sing live. They're great singers, but they have to lip sync in order to be heard by the audience.

  • theyre so colorful and look like a Gap advertisement. Joanna (the first girl to sing) looks gorgeous as always too :)

  • There is a *TON* of lip-synching on the show. There is also subtle post-production editing to the vocal tracks to enhance voices to make the blending sound smoother--this was completely obvious when viewing the final "live" episode this season and comparing the sound to a regular taped episode. Huge difference in sound. In the Christmas Episode this year, a few of the singers were caught without a microphone on their stands--further evidence that parts are lip-synched.

  • @musical122 They do lip sync during the show. You should google that clip. They were singing Usher's "Without You" and got busted lip syncing.

  • @jforman11 yeah, i've actually been to this thing live. they lip sync. it's not a shocker, really.

  • this is my fav type of parade. not the Greate Amerca parade, and none of the Disney parades. this is SOOOOO my fav parade. i watch it every year in the morning of Thanks Giving. something im thankful is... THE MACY'S PARADE!!!♥

  • @acapellafeller For sure...I watched the competition numbers, and that proves that each person at the parade can sing well ♥♥

  • Kurt's still wearing a fedora. :D

  • The old folks behind Jerry at 1:42 are like "Shoot, that guy is my age."

  • @jforman11 Its not true that they lip synce during the show. That is legit singing. If you want proof go look up changes, groove for thought. She messes up toward the end and it is very clear that she didnt mean to do that.

  • @WatchAlou whhy is nit not good enough for people to sing live, vocal chords don't work in the cold? they have microphones?
