160-Meter Contact During Field Day 2007

This is a 160-meter contact during Field Day 2007 using a Yaesu FT-897D. The antenna was a wire about 20 feet off of the ground and about 280 feet in length, fed through a tuner. The operator was Glen, KC8LA, and the club call that was used was WC8OH for the West Central Ohio Amateur Radio Association (WCOARA). hey, does this rig have a transmit power adjustment or is it always at full power?

You can adjust the output power on this radio, but the adjustment is in a menu. You have to press the F button for one second, then twirl the Mem/VFO channel knob until you get to RF Power Set (I think that's the title), then twirl the main knob to choose the output power. Finally, press F for one second again.

Is that one of the old Gonset VHF rigs the lamp was sitting on?
