A Boy and His Blob In Under 10 Minutes Tutorial 1/2

Part 1/2:

This run takes advantage of the lack of the creator's play testing. Use a hole in the subway to fall to your death, advancing in the stage faster than you ever could playing through it honestly. Then use the coconut jellybean to wipe out the enemies of Blobolonia.

I'm aware I call it "Blobonia" and not "Blobolonia." It's what I always called it as a kid and it sort of stuck until after I made these videos. I didn't think this deserved a remake.

Ok something weird is happening. Im at that weird room on blobonia with the convetor belt dropping enemies, and there is an invisible wall that i cant get past. Im playing this on the virtual console if that changes anything.

Yeah, that happens if you don't make the enemies disappear with the coconut trick.

You need to go back one screen and tangerine/trampoline to the platform above you. Then walk over one screen to the right, shut off the conveyor belt, whistle, throw a ketchup to bring the blob right next to you, and finally use a vanilla to get the umbrella so you can safely fall.

The glitch where you throw a jellybean on the ground to summon the blob doesn't work for me. Do you have to use a specific jellybean or at a specific time? PLEASE HELP! I AM STUCK ON THIS GAME! THAT IS WHY I CAME TO THIS VID!

Actually, that one's not a glitch. The catchup jellybean makes him appear.

@CobraVegeta Its so the Blob can fly back up to you if you used the Trampoline. Ketchup is typically better though, but its just another way.

I remember finding a lot of these secrets as a kid. I couldn't get very far in the game the "proper" way, but could beat it with the quickness if I got the special treasure jellybean right away. Nice to see these strategies live on.
