I have autism. Today was unpleasant. I've had points where I can *hardly* talk for 20 or so minutes, and I've had points where I couldn't speak at all for a few minutes, but never have I had it where I literally couldn't speak for an entire half an hour. It's terrifying.

  • awesome video keep things like this commin it helps me understand my boys the more i see and experience! Thank You!

  • @LatigidGolana I'm glad I was able to help.

  • Your no looser sir, I'm an artist. My specialty is portraits. My work is extreme realism. My work has to be perfect because something in my brain hold me prisoner to it. You are a one of a kind. Your face would be amazing in a piece of artwork because I see character and lots of it. I also am on seroquel 600mg a day for OCD and major depressive disorder. We've both got hope. I see that also in your face. Chin up my friend.

  • @jhartist123 Thanks very much :)

  • I get like that, too. It does not mean either of us are loosers. Mine can last for hours, but where I can't say a understandable word usally less than an hour. The bad ones com 3 or 4 times a year.

Writing is always challenging, but becomes painful for longer periods.

I can't, rather don't want to trade anything that makes me who I am. Let co-workers know and don't worry about it too much.. I quite a long time ago...

  • Hey man first of all you're FINE let me tell you what's up. YOUR CURE IS NOT IN MEDICINE THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH Y-O-U there's something in your environment, something in your toothpaste, your soap, your shampoo, your water, your food, something gets into your blood stream and into your nervous system making you this way. You talk intelligently in this video. You're being polluted by a preservative, or a chemical, or fluoride or aspartame or corn syrup, something your body/mind's sensitive to

  • I'm really glad you were able to find something that helped.

  • With Sean, he was milder than your episodes. And oddly a heavy dose of buspar helped that end of things. in his case, it was an abnormal way of anxiety being expressed. also, it helped a LOT of the weird mannerisms. I thought that was really strange, but the doctor said there is a good little percentage of kids out there that react to it. I think I remember it was in the 30%% range.

  • The have me on a new medication now, Zyprexa, which seems to be helping me more than even the Seroquel did. I'm very thankful.

  • Oh wow. This is the first time I found something like this that is similar to what my autistic son went through when he was smaller. He'd go through long periods where he'd just make noise, no speaking even though he could normally. He wans't dxed yet and I went to his special school telling them and they never paid attention or saw it and DIDN'T believe me!! "well, we never saw it Mrs Stout. he's fine!" Aweful awful awful. He was dx'd and that end of the autism got better. I got it taped.
