That animation of the smashing motion really sucks. The position of the feet, the bend of the knees and hips, arm positions, etc.

@revowithin temperature, wind, humidity, shadows, lights, bounce, type of spin (topspin, slice, flat), type of court(grass clay hard), position of players, type of ball on receiving end.. all the factors above affects a shot a player makes.. badminton players only need take into consideration the last 2... Superior ? you've got to be kidding.. or real ignorant to make this kind of comment.. get the facts right before you make comments like this.. badminton can never be superior to tennis..

@revowithin do you know how much consideration comes into play when a tennis player hits a ball ? badminton games are play in one type of court only... and in a controlled environment.. tennis are play in 3 different kinds.. where different play styles comes into context... see why pete sampras wins in grass court and plays badly in clay ?its all not the same.. and for a player to be good at everything, you have to be Roger Federer. Even Pete Sampras didn't quite make it..

@revowithin Superior ? in what way is it superior ? Prize Money ? Sponsor ? Cost of Apparels ? Racquet Cost ? Cost of Stadium ? Number of Countries playing that sport ? Number of Viewers for that sport ? Royalties Viewing / Playing ? Difficulty of the sport ? do you know that badminton lost out on all of those aspect ? tennis has the upper hand in every of the above mentioned category.. Maybe difficulty of badminton and tennis is debatable.. but tennis will still win all others, hands down..

It's very informational, although the 3d virtual demo is rather humorous because it shows terrible timing on the jump smashes. It is probably very hard to animate such a movement though.

tennis is far more popular then badminton, I play both, if roger federer and lin dan both walked into every country in terms of ratio i would so it would be at least 5:1 of ppl knowing federer over lin dan
