Bukowski Dawn

Will somebody remind me why I used to think it fun to get knee-walking drunk?

My mouth feels like the bottom of a bird cage and my hair hurts.

And who is that woman in my bed? And did we get it on?

I hope we didn't. And I hope she drove her own car here.

I used to think guys lied about being this drunk ... then once - just once - in my late 20s, the morning after a night of bar crawling with friends ... lets just say I now believe it's possible -- lol! Great piece, definitely Bukowski-ish.
