WWF has been working with partners in the coastal development and aquaculture sectors in Belize to implement best management practices (BMPs) to conserve mangroves, including mangrove restoration, private mangrove reserves and green landscape developments within mangrove areas.

Thats messed up! Even kids know the importance of having the mangroves on the shoreline. It affects so much marine life as well as increases the potential damage to humans living within the vicinity of these endangered mangroves.

@PrinceMichaels hey there yes it is a shame that in the past many did not realise that removing mangroves and other shoreline vegetation would have long term devastating effects. But now many countries have learnt and are being proactive to stop this. Thanks for your comment Claire
