@ZeppelinRules With all due respect, how the fuck can you answer for all musicians of this "caliber"... You have no idea what was going through Clapton's mind considering he was most likely pissed out of his tree.

Also how do you know he was high and what he was high on?

Musicians of this caliber don't see music as a contest so I doubt he was trying to show him up in any way.

These guys were really "tight", at the time they were as good as any blues/rock group in the world! I watched them many times live, when they played the pubs in southern Ontario. I wish I could have somehow "canned it" so I would have it forever!
Does anybody notice what a great bass player Rick Danko was, he could really sing too!
Nothing lasts forever, but I really miss both Rick's, Danko & Manuel. At least we can still see Garth & Levon!
I'd like to go to one of Levon's midnight rambles!
