So let's say they banned the high capacity magazine.

First off, it doesn't take but a few seconds to change to another magazine.Lanza changed magazines several times throughout the massacre.

Secondly, he could always grab for a pistol in case someone is close enough to grab him when the magazine is finished.

These are premeditated massacres and they are always well planned. Banning high capacity magazines will not change a thing as far as limiting the damage. Then they'll be back to ban more

pretty sure he called for an assault weapons ban in November, as well. This man, you may like much of what he says- but he is a statist. He believes in the primacy of the government over individuals. And that the Govt could/should mow down its citizens whenever it wants

Sorry Mike, your wrong about this one. 100 round clips are known for having serious issues with jamming. The guy in Colorado did shoot a ton of people and he would have been able to shoot a bunch more except his clip jammed. Furthermore it only takes a few seconds to change clips, so he could have done more damage if he had 25 round clips that he just switched out. With a bit of practice it's easy to swap them out quickly.

I own several drum magazines and I use it for competition all the time for competion. Its alot better than a thirty round mag. As long as your reloading your not in the fight

drum magazine jammed after a few rounds, most of the shooting was done with the shotgun. the military does not use drum magazines due to the lack of reliability
