To fix a small rust spot on a car, simply use a car polish and cloth to firmly rub off all excess rust. Apply touch-up paint to cover the resulting chip with help from the owner of an auto detail shop in this free video on car maintenance.

  • If there's a small rust on your car... even a peasize, expect that there's about 1/4 rust around it inside. you have to sand it down to see it.

If you do just scrape off the top, then expect that the rust will come back and and show up there later.

  • THANKS MAN, nice video!!

  • What a shit job keeping the license plater classified, you can clearly see it at the very end of the video, it reads A76 8TA

  • So obvious. I am a hairdresser, and I enjoy detailing my car as a hobby. Then my wife comes home with 2 small rust spots on her car. And I am like, How the heck do I get that off? *that is what she said* Then I saw your video. Awesome. I will do this tomorrow morning and bust out the touch up paint on top of it. Thank you for saving me a few hours of wasting time with your helpful video.

  • cool! really love to watch it..

  • @urkingod search up color sanding on youtube here. you basically have two options.

1: Work your way up to 4000 grit and then buff your panel with the electric buffer or go with the 2000 grit and spend alot more on the buff job in both meterials and time.

4000 grit gets an extremely good job and its vurtually the same. just costs less.

  • @MrFuckingGookHmoob Umm rust spots can be cut out with an angle grinder an then bondod over! If it is so large that bondo wont be strong enough you will have to mig weld sheet iron to it...then bondo! Sand your bondo down prime it paint it!...shouldnt cost more than $40

  • nice vid! i was just wondering how much will it cost to fix big rust spots on your car?
