I was planning to use a late crt tv with component inputs for mame. It's very clear and nice but you're saying it's not as good as an arcade monitor? What's the difference? Because, I never saw an arcade monitor (that I can remember enough to compar to a tv).

Looks nice. Did you do a full format and reinstall windows before using the computer for mame? It could also be some sort of bios problem. Try keeping everything unplugged except the keyboard, mouse and monitor. With the monitor remove everything and try plugging it directly to a computer monitor with a regular monitor cord. See what happens.
