Everything can be used for good if I see it right--because seen with the Holy Spirit's eyes, I will see it as the nothing it is, and only the beautiful truth of our holy Identity will be there to see. What a happy, heartening idea! And for this to happen, I need only decide that I don't want whatever an idol appears to offer me--because I trade my awareness of that beautiful truth for nothing! God bless you Karen, and all the group for helping me learn to WANT to choose only the truth!

"it is still so much better to have the resources to call upon when the clouds come." Yes indeed! I never knew what to do when I dropped into the "clouds of guilt"--I thought that was just how things are! But to have the Course to go to for the "how to return to peace and love" is so heartening! I don't know what I'd do without it!

I have occasional moments of Holy Instants with joy and some understanding and it's like a different dimension. And then the clouds obscure once again. But it still is so much better to have the resources to call upon when the clouds come. And I agree with Tim that passages read before can have new meaning when the time is right. I even understand the Bible more now. When the student is ready, the teacher ( or teaching) will come. So true!
You all are in some meaty stuff. I'm studying chapter 6, but hearing you all talk about chapter 30 reminds me that as we go further into the course the understanding expands. I read a section two days ago, and it was as if I had been blind to it before though I had read it countless times. These videos help and I thank you so much for being a channel of the Holy Spirit's direction in my life. Your work is accelerating my learning in a most holy way.

@TimothyTew "it was as if I had been blind to it before though I had read it countless times." Yes! I've had the same experience many many times. We each seem to hear only what we are ready to hear. I think this is evidence of what Robert Walsh wrote, "One of the hallmarks of a profound teaching is that when you go through it again, you find what philosophers call "higher grades of significance." acimstudygroup. com/ unicurr.htm
