Bob Kellar is a great person with a backbone. He's a truly honest politician. They are rare. I hope he runs for a higher office.

im not saying that we shouldnt stop talking about slavery, im saying we should stop using slavery as an excuse for everything. and there is a minority of people that think that the holocaust didnt happen. of course it happened everyone knows it happened. if you can explain to someone how it didnt happen and its really convincing, then hell you have a good argument. but other then that....

I think the people who wish away the talk have had little or no experience of it or its impactashamed of it. Those who remind us about it have experiences of its impact. It is interesting that tragedies or dire situations never concern you until it directly affects youthen it suddenly is of utmost importance. I think the complaint of slavery lessens as the socio-economic impact of affected peoples improve. Today there are crackpots that still deny the holocaust happened.

500yrs ago? As in the 14thcentury? wowthought the most recent account of history showed it kept up till into the 19th centuryeven the practice of Jim crow persisted into the very 20thcentury. Heck the foundational wealth of America was built on slave labor. I wonder if you think people should ever stop talking about the Holocaust. I think the reason why people still talk about slavery is that the impact of it still persists till today.
