Hitler Lives (1945 propaganda)

Hitler Lives (also known as Hitler Lives?) is a 1945 short documentary film directed by Don Siegel. It won an Academy Award in 1946 for Documentary Short Subject. It warns that the defeated German population still contains Nazi supporters and that the world must stay ever vigilant against the prospect that a new Hitler will arise within Germany. The film combines dramatized content mixed with archive footage.

This Academy Award winning documentary is an excellent example of post-WWII, pre-Cold War propaganda (the target is a revitalized and aggressive Germany, not an expansionist and totalitarian Soviet Union). It is very effectively produced, incorporating a powerful emotional narrative with many seering images familiar to theater audiences of the day who had been exposed to Frank Capra's celebrated Why We Fight series. The strident tone and delivery is often seen in today's DHS propaganda efforts.

Germany didn't start WW1; Austria and Serbia were at war first and they only declared war on Russia after Russia began to mobilize against them. France and the UK also did everything they could to make WW2 happen. They new their secret treaty with Poland must lead to war, war was the only reason to form the treaty.

After beating Russia Hitler wanted both Britain and America to make peace with him. We do know what Hitler wanted, he said he wanted 1,000 years of peace with Britain and America. He mentioned this to Foreign Minister Von Ribbentrop's liason man Walther Hewel during the Summer of 1941.

Poland had only been Britain's ally for a grand total of FIVE months when the Germans invaded Poland, if you can't see that the whole purpose of the British alliance with Poland was an aggressive move to hold down Germany then you don't understand the motives of major powers when they conduct foreign policy. If you've never thought about that or the public schools have never mentioned it then there's a simple explanation for it, those public schools have a pro-British bias anyway.

Britain refused to make peace so of course the Germans had to bomb them, your mentality that the Germans were suppose to just sit there, slowly starve to death from naval blockade, and do nothing, and wait for the British and French to attack them while Britain grew stronger from arming themselves every month is completely unrealistic.
