Tambourine and Dance Basics you need to know before learning patterns for the tambourine dance ministry. (1996 video) INTENDED FOR PRAISE & WORSHIP DANCERS ONLY.

Instructor: Minister Wendy Campbell | Book: http://duncanandwendy.com/shop/ambassador.html

10 minutes of instruction include: how to hold the tam, crown, left hand placement, tam head direction, tam directions, shake, swivel, tap, zip, loop, loop with tap, check, check with tap, wap, twist, rock, round, thrust, thrust with tap, tap under, ribbon hold, and flip.

The tambourine is a percussion instrument that needs to be played on beat. With added dance movements interpretive of key Scriptures, the tambourine dance is a wonderful expression of praise and worship. Clothing should always be modest and not form fitting. Leotards go under tops and culottes under skirts. For more information on this ministry go to http://DuncanAndWendy.com/shop and download books such as "The History of the Tambourine Dance," "Ribbons for the Tambourine," "Praise Garments," and the "Ambassador" book. These are clips of the original VHS which were remastered and made available online.

The session was recorded in 1996 so the quality is low grade in today's standards. Clips are made available because often visual assistance is necessary to accompany the choreography book.

It is important for serious tambourine dancers to obtain the books of the patterns they are learning. The main reason is that one should be proficient in reading and writing the patterns. Secondly, word studies and background about the patterns can be significantly edifying. Lastly, various books contain vital information in the use and care of tambourines, ribbon patterns, and ministry teachings.
