Some of the music this band has made has been pretty good. Especially their early work and instrumentals. I really like On the Sunday Life, Up the Downstair, The Sky Moves Sideways, Coma Divine, Signify, Voyage 34:The Complete Trip, and In Absentia.

  • I love almost everything Porcupine Tree has, but BIG Fish isn't even in my top 50 Porcupine Tree songs. They got so many great songs! Thanks for the upload though.

  • Yeah, I hear ya. There are better songs, but uploaded this one because most of those songs have already been uploaded.

  • "***Some***" of the music this band has made has been pretty good"?

Wilson is a genius--a brilliant writer/producer/singer/performer. I have yet to hear anything he's written that I don't absolutely love. Will never get enough of him. You should check out his solo CD, 'Insurgentes' and the PT CDs, 'Fear Of A Blank Planet' (Alex Lifeson of RUSH cameos on the track, 'Anesthetize') , 'Stupid Dream', 'Lightbulb Sun', 'Metanoia', 'Stars Die', 'Futile' & 'Deadwing' as well. Its *all* great stuff! :)

  • I've heard all of his stuff thank you...I try not to make evaluations on anything until I'm sure I know something about it. What he does is really good, I'm not discounting his abilities as a musician, but that doesn't mean everything he makes is my cup of tea. It's just an opinion, I just like some of his work more than other pieces of his work.

  • on wich album can i find this?

    thanks for uploading

  • Up the Downstair. You're welcome =)

  • Steven Wilson is a Genius. in a world of garbage that is passed of as 'music' these days, he stands out like a giant, with his unbelievably human and connectable songwriting, compositional genius, and phenomenal talent. Not to mention a dedication for perfection in the production department. No wonder he did production work for Opeth.... Ackerfeldt is like Wilson, in that he stands out, way above the crowd also. I, too, have yet to hear a S.W piece that I didn't like. Just my opinion.

  • I've always been amazed by PT's production quality. Even in their older albums, the quality is astonoshing. Love PT, will always be a big part of me!

  • @TheRealCates agreed i love his porcupine tree/blackfield/no man and solo but im not that big on bass communion, but thats probably because its totally different to the kind of PT songs, which is genius how he can have so many projects but keep them all seperate.

  • I don't see anything wrong with this song. It's a strange mixture of tones, but it is surely enjoyable

  • @TheRealCates definatly... i'm with you man. 'stupid dream' didn't really tickle my G spot to be honest.

  • @superstrong1992 i take it back... the early tracks in the latest album suck balls, but as it progresses it becomes brilliant!!! perticularly dig 'i drive the hearse'

  • @ butcherforlife: I didn't mention Fripp because I was talking about SW.

  • I am eternally grateful to have all of PT's albums right now...because i have never once been disappointed by his music.i admit, some music is better than other music, but all of it has caught my attention so far. roll on the next few decades of steven wilson's career. here's to another 2 decades more of fascinating music!

  • @msclvr48 how come you didn't mention robert fripp playing on way out of here?

    that man is a god
