6pm TCN News & Today Tonight On Brian McFadden TX : 17/02/2011

From Watermark Paper To Watermark TV : -

This is a video response to Nine News & their now famous across screen watermark upload of the Brian McFadden V Australia flight from LA to Sydney & the "ruckus" purported to have occurred in flight, this footage was TX'ed Thursday 17/02/2011 firstly on Nine News at 6pm & followed by Seven's Today Tonight.

I'm assuming that Nine had their watermark only on their afternoon news ? Which airs at 4.30pm for an hour a bulletin neither recorded nor watched by me on this date & I also assume that Seven's Today Tonight lifted Nine's Exclusive airport footage from that bulletin.

It does beg the question as to why Seven did not wait until the TCN 6pm News to grab the footage clearly shown to be watermark free, I fancy Seven were too slow on the uptake & had deadline issues for this Today Tonight story ?

At the same time I would say Nine were a bit peeved that Seven had their very own bona fide Exclusive with McFadden & Sandilands while they purchased refreshments, Brian opened up to Seven's Bryan Seymour about the incident giving far more than he did to Nine's Dimity Clancey.

It was indeed rather cheeky for Seven to use Nine's footage & it was good foresight for Nine to watermark Ms. Clancey's footage, but on this one Today Tonight got the better information, as I also saw this story on ACA that night & they certainly did not have what Today Tonight had.

So in short it seems Seven need to improve their deadlines to grab a watermark free pinch from Nine & Nine need to follow the odd Bentley & alike with the same enthusiasm as Seven, I would call this Seven v Nine stoush a draw !
