The Army Nurse Corps is the branch of the Army composed of professional, college prepared nurses. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is the minimal entry level. As nurses progress in experience, seniority and rank, most will go back to school and obtain their Masters Degree. About 10% of Senior Nurse Corps officers have their PhD. The Army provides financial support and duty time to obtain advanced degrees. The Nurse Corps is part of the AMEDD the Army Medical Department.
I'm 26 years old and will be going to college as a first year student interested in the University Of Houston's ARMY ROTC program & upon graduation I'd be a nurse/officer in the ARMY. I turn 27 in November and was wondering if I finish my 4 year education in the ARMY's ROTC program I'll be 31....and not 30, so would they then waive my age and let me join the ARMY as a nurse anyway seeing that I just completed 4 years worth of education?

Hello all. I'm seeking information about the nurse corps. I'm currently a junior in high school here in New York and have been looking forward to do the Army ROTC program in college.
1. How do I earn the 4 year scholarship? Will all my expenses be paid for? Are there extra incentives?
2. After graduating, I understand that I'll be commissioned as a 2nd lieutenant. How long is my service commitment in the army? Will I get sent overseas if I'm in the Army Nurse Corps?
3. How do I progress up
