  • 1483samurai, get your own spring over dude! I actually sold this truck about 6 months ago but since it was a dual purpose vehicle (daily driver / weekend wheeler) I decided to leave it spring under for better highway drivability. It did however have about 3.5" of lift from an old man emu spring kit and a set of 1" lift shackles.

  • Kauaiboy89, I wouldn't plan on getting a stereo to sound tuned in a Samurai due to the tin can effect and unless you have a hardtop alot of the sound just escapes out of the vehicle. The magnaflow system did have a nice note at idle and regular driving speeds however so it would not drown out any stereo system too much.

  • dude you need new shocks yours are maxed out from what i can see.

  • Those are fine Australian shocks (O.M.E.). They still work well with the 3" lift but wouldn't take much more.

  • great, where did you find the magnaflow exhaust? have you seen an improvement of power?

  • Definitely more power. Used universal fit stuff from magnaflow 94000 series for the cat and a 6" round offset/ offset 2" in/out muffler.

  • Spring Over dude! You need one bad.

  • im a car audio enthusiast and like to hear the detail in my speakers since i spend a good dollar on them so my samurai being fairly quiet is pretty important to me, one of the things i like about it now is that its quiet, we all know these vehicles can be a noisy one compared to newer cars n trucks so try my best to keep her quiet. but the thing is i do love how a good exhaust system sounds. so that being said i was wondering if the magnaflow cat and muffler would stay quiet enough on normal rpm

  • Just installed mine the other day.

My muffler was rusted and had a major rattle, local shop quoted me 250 part +100 labor for the repair??... just from the cat back!

So I ordered a 2" Magnaflow from Low Range Off Road in Utah (329 US), as well as a Warrior Roof Rack and a bunch of break parts. With the dollar so good I suggest driving down to Oregon and avoiding duty & tax.

I cheeped out and stayed with the stock header. Dose it make a big difference?

When dose that new muffler smell burn off

  • bet it sounds shit

  • nice rig, I have a 88 zook and am trying to fix it up one piece at a time I put a weber carb on it and it was like day and night is there any way you can tell me what parts you bought to do this thanks

  • very cool man i spent 12months building a stock sierra into a offroad machine and i put 2.5 straight through system with lukey extractors and i definetly notice the power difference and it sounded pretty similar to yours i like it
