@BelieveandtrustJesus No, they aren't apostates. I agree that salvation IS by faith alone. Would you not agree though that there are such things as "professing Christians" that believe in Christ, but are not saved? Look at Matthew 7:21-23 (some who profess will NOT be saved), 1 John 2:19 (CLEARLY shows that not all people who profess belief are saved). So what was the problem? FALSE FAITH. TRUE FAITH results in repentance. You can't have one without the other. That's their message.

@dukulai seeing as he didn't reply, no, he can't prove God doesn't exist. :P

Now, go down to Mark 10:27, where the disciples, astonished, ask "who then can be saved?" and Jesus replies "With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible". In other words, you are not saved by anything you do, as in 'works'; you are saved by the grace of God, as in John 3: 18: "he that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believed not is condemned already.." The young man in this story did not have faith, so his works counted for nothing.

....and, he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.
Then, Jesus uses the opportunity to teach his disciples about "How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!"....and the part about camels and the eye of the needle. See Mark Ch 9-10. Kirk Cameron conveniently leaves this part out, or hasn't read it all, being that the remainder of this teaching would prove what a hypocrite he really is.

The Scripture quoted in Mark 10 is taken out of context. Read it yourself. The man says that he has followed all of the ten commandments from youth. (Obviously, the man missed the point of Jesus's teaching in Mark chapter 9). Yet, Jesus, beholding him, loved him, and said unto him, sell whatsoever thoue hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. .....
No such thing as an eternal hell. A just God wouldn't punish someone forever for sin's committed in a short finite life. Even if Hitler served a life sentence for every life he was responsible for, say 35 years times 5 million that's only 175 million years, that's only a drop in the ocean compared to forever. So using a little reasoning and the fact that Hell, Hades, Sheol, only meant the common grave. We see that God is not the wicked unjust tyrant these so called Christians claim him to be.

@1manvsworld even while in hell, sinners will hate and blaspheme God. They will continue to sin and so continue to be judged. That is why Hell is forever.

@qwertysonic Well if you can back that up with scripture I would be interested.
But you may find this interesting Acts 2:27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Jesus a perfect man and son of God was sent to hell why? Why burn with fire, and torment, and so on a man that was sent here by God in the first place and only did what was asked? Even if it was only for three day's.

@1manvsworld In Mark 9:42-50, Jesus says, "If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having two hands, to go to hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched"
Matthew 18:8 records it “If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it from you; it is better for you to enter life crippled or lame, than to have two hands or two feet and be cast into the eternal fire."

@1manvsworld here are some more passages
"And these will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power," (2 Thess. 1:9).
"Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an example, in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire" (Jude 7).
