Dion Dimucci found several paths to fame first working with The Belmonts and then as a solo artist but at times still working with a back-up group of vocalists. "Runaround Sue" was written by Dion and Ernie Maresca, and it finds Dion singing with the Del Satins in this instance. The recording went to #1 on the pop charts during the fall of 1961.
