UPDATE 6/2/09: Brazilian Air Force has found debris off the coast about 2400 kilometers northeast of Rio. They can't confirm that the debris is from the flight that was lost until boats reach the area.

UPDATE #2: Officials have identified the wreckage as being the remains of flight 447. Life vests, seats, and an oil spill were found, and confirmed to be debris from the plane that was lost Sunday night. No survivors have been found.
