After listening to this, I have no doubt that there was a backing track from the album playing throughout! Especially because when you watch what Dave is playing, especially in the beginning, it doesn't match up with the music. Notice that he's turned completely sideways. VERY unlike David.

This was always one of my very favorite solo David Gilmour songs. I would have preferred hearing David sing it, although this version is interesting....

Listen to the original studio version for comparison. He put out this solo album in between Animals and The Wall (I think) when he was still with Pink Floyd with Roger Walters. It is just a fantastic song, mesmerizing and compelling.
