Learn how to configure a RedEye universal remote system so that you can control your entire home theater from your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad. You can find out more at http://redeyeremote.com/. Please note: the use of Airplane Mode as mentioned here is no longer necessary.

  • Hi,

I like the look of your device. I wanted to know if it was possible to control my xbox 360 via the wifi? My xbox is in a cupboard so the IR does not work but the wifi controllers do. Could I use this device in the same way?

    Thanks, Adam

  • Hi Adam,

For the moment we do not have Wi-Fi integration with any products through the RedEye software. We have some software updates in the works that open up the ability to configure the software to work with networked devices like Xbox, but it would be after those software updates are available before we would begin working on Xbox-specific communication.

  • Do you have a version that uses IR flashers that you attach to your device? I guess you will have to place this out in front of your devices? Will it work if set it on top of my devices?

  • @doogledb We don't have any means to attach IR emitters to the current model, but this may be something we do in the future. Often it will work on top of your devices, but it depends on the room - IR light needs to have something to bounce off and return back to your equipment.

  • I assume the Red Eye doesn't support Wireless N networks yet. I presume that will be the next upgrade in time for iPhone 4g? Is this device ever coming to the UK? It would be cool!

  • Hi @alphabetaxenonzzzcat,

We'll be looking into Wireless N, but it's a complete redesign, so this is not forthcoming right now. In the meantime, we do ship to the UK today - free shipping on orders over $150.

    Enjoy

  • why are there no unicorns or houseboys involved in this video. THIS ISN'T REDEYE.

  • alright i will click on next video

  • so your ipod dosent need to be connect in the dock to work as a remote and would it work on old sound systems like say made in 2000 or something?

  • @redeyeremote Thanks for that information. I have seen on a site that you have a Redeye Pro product that is a rack unit? Do you have anymore information on this because I am interested in the idea of it controlling total home automation.
